Apple crumble pie
In one of the thousands of papers that Ι have written with recipes there was the current proposal.
Tarts and pies with whole apples are not my favorite, but this recipe requires grated apples so I suppose this was the reason for me writing it down. I like apples as a fruit and I use them quite often in my cooking, but dessert-wise haven't made a lot of attempts. It was therefore time to experiment and this recipe was perfect one. It is generally an easy recipe apart from grating the dough. As it is a bit cold numbs your hands and requires time for grating. But it worth the effort as the result is delicious.
While baking, the aromas that come out from the oven, make the stomach rumble. Oh that smell of cinnamon and baked dough ... mmm! The crunchy crust of the surface on one hand and the smooth filling on the other, is a contrast of textures that makes this pie a must do.
