Truffles like Ferrero Rocher

Am I a middle-aged now ? According to my husband, if a person lives till being 90 ... then 45 is the middle age, so whoever is around this age is called middle-aged. But I do not feel that way. I feel like 20 years old and sometimes I act like being 20.

Wow .. 45 years gone (for those who don't know me, I say I'm 35 .. lol) I have to say it once again .. Time flies ! Looking back, I will admit that life treated me in the best way. Cannot complain.

So, I celebrate the year left behind with truffles. Today's recipe is from the blog "Recipes from the Heart" and I'd like to thank Elena for all the help over the phone. There's not much to say about these truffles .... just that are AWESOME. You eat one and ascend to the heavens ... you take a second and you faint from the sweetness ... you eat a third one with no one notice, because you are on diet ... and you eat the rest simply because few are never enough.

Enjoy

Ingredients :

  • 200 gr hazelnuts
  • 300 gr Nutella
  • 150 gr waffers with hazelnuts
  • 340 gr praline & milk chocolate
  • 200 gr hazelnuts (for coating)

Preparation :

  1. Chop hazelnuts with a knife. Do not use a chopper as we don't want them powder.
  2. Chop waffers
  3. In a bowl combine hazelnuts, waffers and Nutella.
  4. Mix well
  5. Put in the fridge to firm.
  6. Chop remaining hazelnuts
  7. Melt chocolate in bain-marie
  8. Take mixture out of the fridge, shape small balls with your hands and dip into chocolate first and next into chopped hazelnuts.
  9. Place them in a tray covered with greaseproof paper.
  10. Put tray in fridge to completely cool truffles
